Tables are held for up to 15 minutes past your booking time, if you are running late or unable to join us, please let us know as soon as possible.

St Aldates Tavern is on a restricted road in Oxford City Centre, which is accessible for Taxi’s and local buses. We are a 10-15 minute walk from Oxford train station which has fast routes to both London & Bicester Village.

Westgate Shopping Centre and Oxford Ice Rink car parks are both a short walk away if you are driving. There is also limited parking on King Edward Street.

Join us for our Pub Quiz every Monday from 8pm, for groups of up to 6.  Booking is encouraged.

You are more than welcome to bring decorations for your event or group booking; however, we do not allow confetti, confetti filled balloons or streamers in any of our spaces. We also have contacts for a fantastic local florist and cake maker should you need!

Children are welcome in our restaurant and main bar until 9pm. Unfortunately, a kid’s menu is not currently available; please let us know if you have any specific dietary requirements.

Perfectly located just a stone’s throw from the high street in the heart of Oxford City Centre, St Aldates Tavern welcomes families, tourists, locals, students, and dogs (preferably accompanied by their owners!)

Taxi rank 10yrd, Oxford shopping & high streets 40yrd, a short walk to Christ Church College, the Bodleian Library, Trinity College, Ashmolean Museum, Oxford Castle & Westgate Shopping Centre.

Dogs are welcome in the main bar.  Please make sure you let us know if you are bringing your four-legged friend so we can assign your booking appropriately.  Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times.

The ground floor has a small step at our main entrance.  The Blue Room is on our first floor.  Toilets are both upstairs and downstairs, we have none on the ground floor.

The Blue Room is available for private hire and is the perfect place to call home for the evening with its own bar, bathroom facilities and sound system.  Areas can be booked in the main bar for smaller groups.

Only celebration cakes allowed. No other food or own drinks to be consumed on the premises without prior agreement.
